We are delighted to announce that four more trainees have successfully completed training contracts at Howells Solicitors and are being retained as newly qualified solicitors.

Howells Solicitors recognises the importance of providing these training opportunities to benefit both the individuals and the business as a whole.

The period of recognised training provides the trainees with the opportunity to spend time in different departments to gain valuable experience in different aspects of law under the guidance of the firm’s partners and senior solicitors.

Class of 2021

All four of our recently qualified solicitors joined Howells after completing their University degrees.
Their aptitude, ability and commitment to progress was recognised by senior members of the company and they were accepted to start their period of recognised training in 2019/2020.

We would like to congratulate Catherine Pugh, Emma Chapple, Elizabeth Harford and Lucy Fowler on their achievement and look forward to seeing their legal careers progress here at Howells.

When commenting on qualifying, Emma Chapple said:

“The training has provided me with the opportunity to expand and develop my legal knowledge across a wide range of different areas of law. I feel that I have received the right level of supervision and responsibility whilst working on cases and the breadth of experience has provided me with the knowledge and confidence to qualify into my chosen area of law, Commercial Property. I’m looking forward to the new responsibilities and continuing to progress my career.”

Shaun Perry, HR Manager, said:

“We are very pleased that all four have completed their training and qualified with the firm. Staff development is an integral part of our growth strategy and provides the individuals with the opportunity to progress their own legal careers, develop their own teams and become valuable assets to the company. We currently have 6 trainees at the moment with our next application process in the near future.”
