Pre-lockdown, we were delighted to welcome Ian Walker to the Howells team. Based in our Swansea solicitors office, Ian is a Senior Associate in our Private Client department, helping clients of all ages put plans in place for later life and for when they pass on. When a person dies without a will, this is known as ‘dying intestate’. In some instances, sorting out who inherits their estate is simple enough and it will pass on to the next of kin under certain criteria, known as ‘intestacy rules’.
