Employment SeminarsWith Google at our finger tips, everyone thinks that they are employment law experts. Employees know their rights and are not afraid to assert those rights. It is therefore vital that employers seek legal advice to ensure that you are not leaving yourselves open to an Employment Tribunal claim and as a result, be detrimental to your business.
Employment law can be an absolute minefield. The aim of these free seminars is to give employers an insight in to the current and up-to-date law and how it affects you as a business.
Employers should preferably take advice before they take any action. If this is not possible, then you should seek legal advice as soon as possible. There is no point delaying the inevitable.
What is the point in our employment seminars?You will have a refresher into the current legislation. The Law, as we already know, is ever changing and with constant changes comes constant updates and alterations that need to be made. Especially as an employer it is your duty to ensure that your current structures and employee processes reflects the current law, to protect you as a business and ensure all employees are treated fairly.
You will also be able to meet people from different businesses who may be in the same situation as you, which very often happens at our seminars, we encourage open discussion amongst our attendees and of course you will get to meet members of our brilliant Employment team and also have a chance to ask 1 on 1 questions, if you wish to keep current affiliations confidential.
Will I be charged for attending?Absolutely not. Our Seminars are FREE for all Business owners and HR members. We ensure there’s free parking and easy access to all our venues we choose. We also safeguard there are refreshments at every seminar event.
Solicitors do have a bad press with fees but they are not as high as the media likes to make out. Dealing with an issue early on can stop a situation escalating and therefore the fees will be lower as a result. At Howells we offer retainer packages for business, where we support businesses with the day-to-day HR and employment law support needed for a fixed fee. We also have available insurance which covers the cost of any Employment Tribunal claims.
