We are celebrating our 25th anniversary today. On the 22nd July in 1996 in Hallinans House on Newport Road in Cardiff, founding partners Mark Hobbs, Philip Howell and John O’Connell established Howells Solicitors to offer clients a range of legal services.
We immediately began to build our client base in and around the Cardiff region and quickly established an enviable reputation that enabled the firm to grow both in terms of recruiting staff and opening new offices along the M4 corridor to meet the demand for our legal services.
The development plan also involved expanding into providing commercial / business law services which has enabled the company to continuously increase its market share.

In 2021, we are one of the largest law firms in Wales operating from six offices, employing over 167 and working with a client base located throughout England and Wales.
The quality of our services has been widely recognised during this period as the individual departments and company have won multiple national and regional legal industry awards.
