On Friday September 29th, the teams across all Howells Solicitors offices came together to host special Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Mornings and raise vital funds for this worthy cause. Through cake sales and donations, we collectively raised a fantastic £555.52 for Macmillan!
We want to thank every single staff member who contributed time, baked goods and money to make our charity coffee mornings an immense success. While we always strive to provide exceptional legal service to our clients, it is also extremely important that we look for opportunities to support the community around us. We could not be prouder of the generosity and enthusiasm our staff demonstrated to help those impacted by cancer.
Special thanks goes out to Liz Garrido-Williams, our Social Committee Chairwoman and her team who took the lead organising the events. We know first-hand the effort it takes to coordinate schedules, manage planning, and spread the word to ensure great turnout.
We also want to recognise those who got up early to bake dozens of cakes, cupcakes, muffins, and other tasty treats that were so enthusiastically devoured throughout the day. Having that variety and quantity of baked goods to enjoy alongside our coffees was vital to creating such a fun, festive atmosphere while fundraising.
Of course, we extend our gratitude to every staff member who attended the coffee mornings, made personal donations, and simply helped spread the word about this worthy cause. It was fantastic to see our offices buzzing with activity as colleagues networked, enjoyed some coffee and cake, and chipped in whatever they could. Every bit helped us exceed our fundraising goal.
We raised £555.52 which will allow Macmillan to continue providing vital cancer support services in our communities. We know our donations will be put to beneficial use helping the many individuals and families impacted by cancer. As a firm, we are proud to support Macmillan’s mission.
