An expert personal injury and medical negligence solicitor has been employed by Howells Solicitors to head our specialist department as the company continues to make a series of key appointments as part of our ongoing expansion plans.

Please Join Us in Welcoming Susan ‘Sue’ Edwards

Sue Edwards joins the company as a Partner and the Head of Medical Negligence and Personal Injury. Her previous role was at a national law firm where she was responsible for securing compensation claims for clients who had suffered very serious injury following road traffic accidents, accidents in work and whilst in the care of medical professionals.

Based in our Cardiff office, Sue will be heading up the team who have established a reputation for dealing with clients in a personable, professional manner ensuring that each case is meticulously prepared and tailored to individuals’ circumstances to secure financial outcomes that will assist with their ability to recover and maximise their quality of life and independence.

Explaining why she decided to join Howells and her plans for the development of the medical negligence and personal injury department, Sue commented:

“When I initially met with the directors of Howells to discuss the role, I was immediately impressed with their ambitious development plans for the company and those specifically for my department.

“We already have a team of experienced solicitors each with their own area of expertise and collectively we now can provide comprehensive legal services for clients who have personal injury and medical negligence claims.

“We will be reaching out to meet clients in person rather than over the phone by utilising our network of six offices across South Wales, as well as hosting free clinics in local communities with the first one taking place in Pembroke Dock Harlequins RFC on Wednesday October 10th.”

Mark Hobbs, Managing Director of Howells said:

“Sue has a unique combination of skills and experience that fit perfectly with our plans. Her pragmatic, pro-active and personable approach to her work will enable us to take the medical negligence and personal injury department to the next stage of its development.

“Be it an individual seeking compensation for a relatively small injury suffered at work, through to a large medical negligence claim that has seriously impacted on someone’s life, Sue’s wealth of experience in these cases will be of significant benefits to our clients in securing suitable outcomes.”
