HOWELLS SOLICITORS LAUNCH NEW PERSONAL INJURY CAMPAIGN

20 Jul 2009

Welsh law firm, Howells Solicitors, is teaming up with female-friendly organisations across South Wales to launch a new accident advice card to assist women in Wales.

For any women who are unfortunate enough to be involved in a road traffic accident, Howells Solicitors personal injury department has created a step-by-step guide on how to deal with the situation.  Pink Ladies south Wales and Le Femm Cabs of Swansea are amongst the first companies to sign up to distributing the cards to all their members and customers.

The accident card is also being sent to car garages, driving instructors, taxi ranks and car insurance firms in south Wales.  It includes a checklist of information that needs to be obtained from those involved in the accident and helpful tips such as the collection of photographic evidence through the use of a mobile phone and information about how Howells can help if an injury has occurred.  It is hoped that the accident card will take some of the pressure out of what is inevitably a stressful situation for anyone involved in an accident.

Claire Wilde, Solicitor at Howells said: “Speaking to female friends made me realise that many women would not know what to do if they were involved in a car accident.  Many friends said that they would simply call their partner if they were caught in an accident.  Our accident cards link in nicely with our personal injury department and give helpful advice and tips for dealing with an accident situation and shows Howells’ commitment to providing a friendly and personal service.

Lynne Silcox, Director of Pink Ladies South Wales said: “Howells’ accident cards are a great idea and Pink Ladies is proud to be supporting this.  We currently have over 250 members in South Wales, all of whom would value such a resource.  Pink Ladies believe that women deserve to feel safe and secure whilst travelling, and this accident advice card will go a long way to helping them do just that.”

Lilian Rees, Proprietor of Le Femm Cabs said: “As a female orientated business I think these cards really hit the mark.  Dealing with female customers on a daily basis I understand that women aren’t always 100 per cent confident when it comes to things like dealing with accidents and insurance companies.  These cards are perfectly-sized for a glove compartment and will help to assure women that they are fully prepared to deal with any situation or accident.”
