We are delighted to announce that we have maintained our Cyber Essentials accreditation for a third successive year.
Under the guidance of Carl Smith, our IT Manager, we have achieved the criteria required for the UK government backed scheme that requires us to have sufficient steps and procedures in place to mitigate the risk of succumbing to a cyber attack and keeping our client data safe.
“I am particularly proud of our teams’ achievements this year as we scored a fantastic 98% in the assessment,” commented Carl Smith.
“We have maintained the high standards previously set and improved on them. The threat of cyber-attacks remains very real and statistics released by the UK Governments Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport worryingly report that only 33% of businesses have IT cybersecurity policies in place.”
Maintaining our Cyber Essentials accreditation is a clear demonstration of the controls we have in place to mitigate the threat of common internet viruses and other attacks. It is also a very important third-party endorsement that we can use to reassure clients, suppliers and other professional partners we work with that we are proactive in our approach to IT security.
