We attended the Modern Law Conveyancing Awards last night in The Rum Warehouse, Liverpool, alongside fellow leading conveyancing companies from across the UK and were delighted to be Highly Commended in the National Conveyancing Firm of the Year category, as well as the Conveyancing Firm of the Year for Wales.

What Are the Modern Law Conveyancing Awards?

The awards recognise the talent, achievement and innovation of individuals and companies in the national conveyancing market and are judged by an esteemed panel of expert industry experienced judges.

It is the first time there has been a National Conveyancing Firm category at these awards and we were delighted to come second, and also highly commended as we faced stiff competition from over 30 national firms and conveyancing companies from across the England and Wales. This makes our achievement more notable and a testament to the fantastic work of our dedicated, customer-focused conveyancing departments throughout our network of six South Wales offices.

We have previously won the title of Conveyancing Firm of the Year for Wales for the past two years and were very pleased to be Highly Commended this year.

Mark Hobbs, Managing Director of Howells Solicitors, attended the Awards and is very keen to praise our fantastic teams of conveyancing professionals, as well as the other finalists and winners. He said:

“As a business, we have been able to continue to increase our market share of the conveyancing market and achieve our objective of recruiting key personnel to maintain the high service levels our clients expect from a leading law firm.

“We have managed to do this whilst the conveyancing market as a whole has faced increasing pressures due to uncertainty from the wider economic environment that includes speculation about interest rates, Brexit and quite significant regional variations in house prices.

“Our talented team have been able to adjust to these factors by investing in a series of initiatives and innovations including implementing custom built software to further streamline our processes enabling us to increase volume whilst maintaining the all-important customer satisfaction levels.

“I would personally like to congratulate all of our team on their performance and also say well done to the other finalists and winners who are collectively helping to improve the overall standards of the conveyancing industry.”
