To further strengthen our expanding Commercial Law department, we have appointed Rachael Brown, an experienced specialist corporate and commercial law solicitor.

Learn More About Rachael

Originally from Oakdale, Caerphilly, Rachael began her career in Cardiff before moving to London and spending two decades working in the legal industry both for law firms including launching a commercial litigation department, and as the in-house legal counsel for private companies.

Rachael joins as an Associate Solicitor from a leading London-based law firm with national offices.

In her most recent position prior to joining Howells, Rachael managed the Federation for Small Business (FSB) client account for a law firm where she was responsible for providing legal advice for FSB business owners and members.

What Will Her Role at Howells Involve?

Returning to Wales, Rachael will be working alongside Howells’ Rhidian Hobbs, Head of Commercial, in a newly created position where she will be establishing a team to provide legal advice and guidance to business and organisations regarding business sales and purchases, shareholder/partnership agreements and other legal business matters.

The new role enables Howells to continue to develop their commercial department and is an integral part of their ongoing business development plan to provide comprehensive business law services to clients throughout South Wales following our successful launch of our commercial property department in Swansea earlier this year.

Rhidian Hobbs, comments:

“We welcome Rachael to Howells and the commercial team. Rachael's expertise spans corporate and general commercial and will complement the services we offer to SME businesses as well as private clients."

Commenting on her new role, Rachael said:

“I am very pleased to be part of such a commercially focused business and looking forward to working with Rhidian and the team as they continue to take a stronger foothold in South Wales. It’s fantastic to return to Wales and I’m looking forward to building long lasting relationships with existing clients and developing strong relationships with new ones.”
