Eve Myles’ yellow coat in cult TV show Keeping Faith has quickly become an iconic wardrobe piece and similar styles were sold out across much of the UK at the end of 2018. So, when the original jacket worn during filming was put up for auction, it peaked our interest.

Faith Howells, who plays Myles, signed the coat and donated it to children’s charity Dreams and Wishes to auction off and raise funds to help seriously ill children and their families. Charity ambassador Wendy Hobbs, who acquired the donated item, recently told WalesOnline:

“It came about when I ended up meeting Eve and I think she was impressed with the work we do.”

“We’re all volunteers and 100 per cent of the money we raise goes directly to the cause – to help seriously ill children and their families.

“So, on the set she signed the jacket, she put it on and had her picture taken in it, she signed the photograph and got all the cast to sign posters.

“She’s actually signed the yellow jacket and apparently it’s the only one she’s signed, so I’m able to auction all that.”

As regular supporters of Dreams and Wishes, and fans of the show, we were keen to throw our hat in the ring and are pleased to say we had the winning bid. £1,200 is now going directly to the charity to help make the dreams and wishes of seriously ill young people become a reality.
