We are delighted to announce Robert Jones has qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive, specialising in personal injury and medical negligence.
Who is Robert Jones?
Rob graduated from the University of South Wales in 2014 with a law degree and has recently completed his Fellowship with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FILEx).
Starting his career with a multinational law firm before joining Howells in 2017, Rob is an experienced and well-respected clinical negligence specialist with a successful track record of achieving the desired outcomes for the majority of his clients.
We met with Rob to ask him more about what his job involves, what motivates him and his passion for DIY!
What Does Your Area of Expertise Include, and How Do You Help Your Clients?
Every client’s situation is different and that is why I love what I do. I work on a wide variety of medical negligence and personal injury cases which range from burn injuries and plastic surgery, to amputations, nursing home care and incorrect/delayed or wrongful treatment (the list goes on). I also have experience of dealing with other claims that arise within the field of personal injury.
I chose to specialise in this field of law because it’s so rewarding helping clients get the result they deserve after a very unfortunate time in their life.
Since Joining Howells, How Has Your Department Changed?
Where do I start? The department has seen continuous growth since I joined two years ago and it is great to be a part of this growing team. I previously worked with our Head of Department in a previous company and know Sue Edwards really will drive the business forward.
We have seen a 350% increase in the number of cases in the last 24 months and this figure will continue to grow in the years ahead.
More work coming in means we will be expanding our team and welcoming new specialists with valuable skills and experience. This is very exciting for us and I am eager to see what the future holds for me and the team here at Howells.
Outside of Work, How Do You Like To Spend Your Time?
I got married in the summer and my wife and I spend the majority of our spare time renovating our house. The latest project we completed was fitting a log fire in the lounge – it’s strangely satisfying doing manual tasks after spending all day in the office.
