What Are the Family Law Awards 2016?

The Family Law Awards recognise the work undertaken in this specific area of law. Nominations are made by clients and fellow industry professionals and the shortlist of winners is chosen by a judging panel including the heads of the Association of Lawyers for Children, Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, Family Law Bar Association and Resolution, along with Family Law editors and publishing executives.

Why Has Howells Been Nominated?

We offer a comprehensive range of family law services including children disputes, prenuptial agreements, cohabitation and financial matters. The department is also a preferred resource for a growing number of organisations including the South Wales Police Federation.

The family law team also provide pro-bono advice for numerous voluntary organisations and charities across South Wales that help and support people faced with social, physical and mental issues. Plus, they work with, and for, the students and staff at the University of South Wales, providing legal advice and guidance.

Mark Hobbs, Managing Director of Howells Solicitors is pleased that the work of our family law department has been recognised on a national level. Commenting on the announcement of the award shortlisting he said:

“Family law is often an emotive and complex area. Our team are vastly experienced and each have specific areas of expertise to enable us to provide a comprehensive service for clients.

“Our family law department receives a large number of referrals and repeat business which demonstrates how well respected the work they undertake is.
