Christmas is a time for giving, and this festive period is no different. We were delighted to welcome Wendy Hobbs, author and ambassador for Dreams & Wishes into our Cardiff office earlier to present her with a cheque for £750.
A Long-Term Supporter of Dreams & Wishes
The monies have been raised by our teams in our six offices by hosting dress down days, sales of Wendy’s book which was written for the charity, and other fundraising activities.
Tristan Lewis, Business Development Manager at Howells, presented the cheque. He said:
“It was a pleasure to present Wendy with the cheque this morning. Speaking on behalf of everyone at Howells, we are delighted to continue to support such a hard-working charity which is unique in its approach. All the money donated goes directly to the dreams and wishes granted to very ill young adults, children and their families at such trying times.”
A prolific ambassador for Dreams & Wishes, Wendy spent Monday in London visiting the Houses of Parliament and No. 10 Downing Street with members of the charity, as well as the special children they make the wishes come true for. Wendy was invited to read her book ‘Claudia’s Special Wish’ in No. 10 to a select audience including MPs and the PM’s private secretary.
We have said this before and will very happily say it again, please visit the Dreams and Wishes website to find out more about the wonderful charity and how they make such a difference for seriously ill children and their families.
