About Sarah

Sarah studied law at Cardiff University between 1996 and 1999. She completed the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff Law School in 2000 and went on to do her training contract in a large regional firm in the South West of England. She qualified as a solicitor in 2002.

In 2006, Sarah joined the asset management team of a large Cardiff firm. In 2012, she became a partner there and head of the wills and probate team. She joined Howells in 2019 as a partner and head of our wills and probate team.

Sarah has over 20 years’ experience acting on behalf of high net worth clients in their estate planning. People with a high net worth are typically business owners, farmers and professionals such as doctors, dentists and vets. Their estate planning is more complex because they often have more complex assets, including business interests, farms, property portfolios and overseas assets. They also often own valuable items such as cars, racehorses and paintings. Estate planning for high net worth clients can involve preparing detailed wills, advising on inheritance tax planning, forming and administering trusts and the administration of complex estates.

Sarah has been a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) for nearly 20 years.

She was involved for several years with Arts & Business Cymru, an organisation that ‘helps business and the arts to connect and thrive,’ and through this became a Trustee of Ballet Cymru.

In her spare time, Sarah is an avid reader and enjoys walking in the countryside and on the coast with her family.
