About Laith
Alongside his co-managing partner, Rhidian Hobbs, Laith sets the firm’s strategic direction and is responsible for its financial and operational performance. Together, they lead the day-to-day management of the business.
Laith enjoys the fast-paced nature of running a business and working with the firm’s senior management team on projects that improve the delivery of legal services and promote a positive working environment and culture.
Before he was appointed as managing partner, Laith specialised for many years in succession planning and trust and estates work. He is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and has developed a speciality in disputes over wills, trusts and estates.
Laith is regularly approached to act as an independent executor or trustee. He also acts as a Court of Protection appointed deputy for people lacking mental capacity.
Laith completed a business management degree and spent the early part of his career in banking. He then returned to study to complete a postgraduate diploma in law and the Legal Practice Course, qualifying as a solicitor in 2008. He joined Howells in 2012 and became a partner in 2014.
For many years, Laith has been recognised by The Legal 500 as a ‘Leading Individual’ for wills trusts and estates, and contested wills trusts and estates.
In his free time, Laith enjoys spending time with his family and playing field hockey.
